Bay Pizza
Seven residential units and two shopfronts with failing analogue door stations, and rewiring off the table. IP door entry over the existing network, answered from a mobile.
The problem
A mixed-use building on Bay Road in North Sydney had seven residential units across two sections and two shopfronts. The building’s analogue door stations were old and failing. Residents couldn’t answer the door when they weren’t home. Deliveries got turned away. And replacing the system meant rewiring the entire building.
What we installed
We installed seven Grandstream wall phones, a Yeastar T54W system, and two Grandstream IP door stations with card entry. The new door stations work over the existing network, so no rewiring was needed.
Residents get a mobile app that lets them see and answer door calls from anywhere. They can see who’s at the door, hear them, talk back, and release the lock or tell them to leave.
What changed
Residents don’t have to choose between staying home and letting someone in. A delivery driver rings the door station, the resident on holiday answers the call through their phone, and lets them into the lobby. Card entry means residents don’t lose access if they lose a key. The shopfronts and residential units all work from the same system, so there’s one network, one vendor, one support line instead of two separate setups fighting each other.
