Cabling, door stations and Wi-Fi
Cabling, electrical, door entry, Wi-Fi and paging. The work that sits around a phone system and usually gets quoted by someone else.
Structured cabling
A reliable phone system needs a network that can carry it, and a connection that stays up. Cititel installs structured cabling for businesses across Sydney: the cable runs, terminations and testing that make sure data and voice get to where they need to go, fast and without drops.
Cititel is registered with ACMA under registration TITAB T38704, with endorsements for Open S (standard installations), O (outside installations), C (customer premises equipment), U (underground installations), and A (aerial installations).
Commercial electrical work
Cititel holds electrical contractor licence EC38416. That means we can install the power that a network and phone system need: distribution boards, backup power, circuit work. New installations or upgrades to existing sites. We hold the licence for this work ourselves, so it is planned as part of the same job rather than bolted on afterwards.
Door stations and entry systems
Unit complexes need residents to answer the door when they’re not home. The old analogue door stations that ring a single unit or intercom are failing technology. We replace them with IP door stations that residents can answer on their mobile phone, see who’s at the door, and unlock it from anywhere.
One example: a mixed-use building with seven residential units and two shopfronts had obsolete analogue door stations that were failing. We installed Grandstream IP door stations with card entry. Residents away from home now take the door call on their phone, see the visitor, talk to them, and release the lock or refuse entry. Card entry means someone away for six weeks doesn’t lose access. Everyone in the building uses the same network and vendor instead of juggling separate systems.

Wi-Fi that reaches the whole site
We supply and install DrayTek and TP-Link access points and range extenders. A cloud phone system is only as good as the network under it, and a handset that drops out in the back office is a network problem, not a phone problem.
If your Wi-Fi does not reach the warehouse, the yard or the upstairs office, we can run the cable and put an access point where it is actually needed rather than adding another extender to a signal that was never strong enough.
