Avaya

Avaya IP Office and the older INDeX and Definity systems. Handsets, cards, power supplies and programming.

Avaya IP Office and enterprise systems are the workhorses of Australian business. They’re paid for, they’re feature-rich, and they keep working until hardware fails.

What we support

Cititel services and supplies parts for Avaya systems including:

  • IP Office (all versions)
  • 1400, 1600, 5400, 5600 series
  • 9500, 9600 series
  • J100 range, including J129, J169 and J179 handsets

Graeme Hathway has advanced-level training in Avaya IP Office and implementation, so the phones that are hardest to fix end up here.

When a part fails

If the part is still available from Avaya’s supply chain, we order it and install it. If it is not, there is a conversation to have.

You have options. Some customers upgrade a few handsets or a key module and keep the rest. Some migrate to a cloud-based system when the cost of replacement gets too high. Some do nothing if the failing part is rarely used. The right answer depends on your site, your system and what you use most.

We’ll talk you through the options and the costs. No pressure to buy anything new.

Common failures

The biggest reasons Avaya systems stop working:

  • Handsets wear out, especially the handset cords
  • Power supplies fail (these are not hard to replace)
  • Older models have capacitors that dry out over time
  • Network cards can fail in edge cases

Most of these are fixable, and we hold the parts to do it.

Repairs and remote support

We can come to site, work out what has failed, and give you a written quote to repair it. We will also price a cloud system with free remote support so you can compare the two. Both quotes are free, and if you go ahead with neither you owe us nothing. We hold most parts and they are ready to go.

Free remote support is built in. If there is a problem, call us.
